BABY SHOWER

It's been a long day today. Church services this morning, lunch with the in-laws, my baby shower, then Thanksgiving dinner at the church tonight! I have just got to kick my shoes off for the first time all day! First I have to say how much I love this time of year and how "Thankful" I really am for the blessings in my life. I have wonderful family and friends that go out of their way all the time to show love for me and today was just another example of that! DH and I got several nice gifts for the baby and nursery today, and I was surrounded by people who took time out of their busy schedules to "shower" me! (I'm just glad there was no soap involved! ha ha!) I can't wait to see and post the pics that Tiffany took today, but I did get a chance to take some pics of some of the items we received!

There were several cute outfits with ducks and one with Pooh...
A crocheted baby blanket from my mom...
A home made crib comforter made by my grandmother....

And lots of other goodies including gift cards, diapers, wipes, a wipe warmer, bibs, blankets, books, teethers, rattles, and the stuffed tiger in the middle that roars! :)

First taste of the "Nursery"

So I've been busy cleaning and moving and packing things up from our spare bedroom/music room and after all the hard work I wanted to share a taste of what the nursery looks like so far. For those of you that don't know me very well, the camo is just up my alley - and don't worry, if Baby T. is a girl, I'm sure it can be 'girlified'! :) As things get closer, I'll be sure to update more and more pics!

So I didn't get the belly shot at exactly 30 weeks, but this is close enough :)

29 Weeks 3 Days

Weeks 29 - 32 - Winter Squash. Just in time for Thanksgiving too! :)
Had another checkup today - everything is right on target for where it needs to be! I've gained a total of 14 lbs, which the Dr. says is great! Baby is back head down, (as opposed to transverse like it was) and at least the feet are out of my kidneys for the time being! Baby T's heart rate is still around 148 and sounds good and strong! I did happen to read a bit of information today that was a huge relief to one of my worries... Right now if Baby T. decided to make his or her grand entrance, there is a >90 percent chance of survival. Saturday, when I am 30 weeks, that number jumps to >95 percent! I still want to bake this bun as long as it takes to get it mature enough to come home with me, (no NICU stay!) however I am relieved to know that if the unthinkable happens - the chances of survival are good!
Developmentally - Baby T's senses should all be in working order now and the brain continues to develop. Sleep patterns are evolving and I can tell that between 8:30-10:00 p.m. this child is going to be a handful! Maybe that's because I'm finally settling down for the day around that time and I notice it more, but the activity is definitely there. Dr. says Baby T should gain about a half pound every week between now and delivery and says in just a few weeks I should really "POP"!!!
